The Bridgewater Community Center will be hosting a
Special Passport Acceptance Fair

Photo services available.  See below for fees and requirements. 

The Town of Bridgewater has been approved by the Department of State as a passport acceptance facility.  While our office does not process renewals (see renewal guidelines), Passport Acceptance Agents at the Bridgewater Community Center (201 Green Street) accept applications for new passports or passports that have been expired for 5 years or more.
Our passport acceptance agents will be glad to answer your questions about the passport application process.  Additional information about passports, application fees, and international travel may be found here or at the State Department’s website at travel.state.gov

Please note that passport applications will be accepted during the week,
Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
We cannot schedule passport appointments or process passport applications after 3:30 p.m.


Appointments are not required, but it is recommended that you call ahead
to help us provide the fastest service possible for all applicants.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  1. COMPLETED APPLICATION (forms may be obtained from our office or filled out online and printed)
  2. PROOF OF US CITIZENSHIP (any of the following may be submitted)
    • Previous U.S. Passport (undamaged; may be expired)
    • Original certified birth certificate (from a city, county or state; NOT a hospital certificate; NOT a card)
    • Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth
    • Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship

  3. PROOF OF IDENTITY (any of the following may be submitted)
    • Current, valid driver's license
    • Military ID
    • Government ID
    • Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship
    • MINORS UNDER THE AGE OF 16 must appear in person and BOTH parents/legal guardians must present proof of identity (important information on minors)

  4. PASSPORT PHOTO (we offer photo services)
    • Passport photographs are free for Town residents who present a B-Rec Membership Card.
    • Photographs cost $15 for Non-Town residents.
    • If you choose to bring in a photo from elsewhere, be sure that it meets these photo requirements.
  5. PAYMENT (2 separate payments are required)
    • Personal check or money order to the U.S. Department of State (Amount varies based on documents applied for and processing time.  Calculate your fee.)
    • Personal check, money order, or cash to Town of Bridgewater ($25 until March 31, 2018.  This will increase to $35 on April 1, 2018.).  Add $15 photo fee, if applicable.
